Between Glass and Shadow

A walk through reflected facades, deep shade, and the brief gestures that give a city its scale.

Cities repeat themselves in glass, stone, and shadow. I began this walk looking for those repetitions, then waited for a person or a passing reflection to interrupt them.

Following the light

The strongest frames came from staying still. Light moved across the same surfaces while pedestrians supplied the only reliable measure of time.

A bright line of sun reaches between glass and brick buildings.
A narrow opening turns the street into a vertical corridor.
A pedestrian crosses a building entrance divided by dramatic shadows.
A lone figure passes through a frame made by architecture.

The final edit keeps the architecture dominant but never empty. Each photograph needs a trace of movement, weather, or human scale.
